![]() The only HID system I have had is my 2013 ZL1 LPE750 Vert Camaro ,which are pretty darn good. Headlight technology has advanced a lot in the last five years, giving you multiple options. I have not driven my F150 yet,as it went straight from the dealer lot to get hand controls, then it went directly to extensive metal work's where its been for 2 months almost now for a long term build. So I have no idea how good,or bad the factory HID system is first hand, and this is the first ford I have purchased new or other wise for myself since my 89LX 5.0 mustang. How much is really gain by buying a /lighting kit from them.I have looked at the pictures on their web site, and the factory system seems to give off a lot more light than one of those designs shown, or at least a larger area is lit up.Īre they just offering those because the housing installed direct's the light in a different way,or because the reflective housing on the factory HID system is not the best design ? If the Bulb(D3S) CAN be replaced on those HID lights WHEN IT BURNS OUT, are there better brighter replacements for it.I keep seeing everyone,or at least those who want to ,replacing the whole assembly even if they already have HID with another housing etc.spending $1000 to $2000 on them instead of just replacing it with another bulb, like you would do with a older Lexus hid system.ĭo you really have to split open the housing to update the bulb,or are just doing that to get the halo look, and a brighter bulb can INDEED just be installed just like any other system ?
